Landscape Architecture

Landscape architecture is the thoughtful and detailed design of the outdoor environment….

Through a 4 or 5 year education at an accredited university, working under a licensed landscape architect for three years and passing a rigorous 3-day exam, one will become licensed to practice landscape architecture. Landscape architects are trained in horticulture, soil sciences, sustainability, grading and drainage, construction, irrigation, large and small scale community planning, and many other aspects of our built environment.

Environment West landscape architects are licensed in Washington and Idaho and have a combined total of experience exceeding 74 years!

Environment West’s landscape architects and landscape designers will listen to your needs and work closely with you to develop the landscape of your dreams. Through a series of fun and interactive meetings we develop accurately scaled drawings that will bring your landscape to life. The combination of our skills and creativity blended with your needs and desires delivers a design process of which we will guarantee your satisfaction!

Environment West also offers “Design Only” landscape architectural services although the most cost-effective, efficient, and fastest design method is “Design/Build”. This path offers significant savings through our ability to design to your budget, reduced start-up time, and overall fewer steps in the process. The greatest asset to the design/build process is that your designer is also your project manager, overseeing every step of your project’s implementation.
